[SOLVED]Formatting SD card

Postby pineal » Mon Nov 04, 2013 9:56 pm

Hi
I am making a booting sd card.
But I can't format my sd card properly.
It says
the device apparently does not exist
fdisk: unable to open /dev/sdb/: no such file or directory

Any one can help!!!

What version of Linux are you using? You will basically need to work out what device your sdcard is ending up as and modify the scripts as required. Please be very careful though as you could end up wiping your hard drive doing this! If you are not 100% sure what you are doing it may be best to wait until we have a more user friendly way to do this stuff...

Hi
I think I just solved this problem! I failed in the parallel desktop on my mac But once I got a micro SD card reader and connect to Ubuntu PC, I made it.
BTW, I go through the step to jrun helloworld on EV3, but failed, it said Could not find or load main class ... Did I install properly? I am trying to use eclipse to connect it now.

Are you sure you typed the command correctly jrun EV3HelloWorld (note that case is important) and that you had changed directory to the samples directory?
