Making HTTP callouts to REST/SOAP Endpoints?

Postby brickinthecloud » Thu Nov 07, 2013 2:00 am

I am hoping to get hold of an EV3 this weekend, having played with the previous one, http://brickinthecloud.com/

Has anybody in this group got leJOS calling a HTTP endpoint using the regular Java library support? If so, does SSL work?

Thanks!

Here is the output on an EV3 for this HttpsClient example - http://www.mkyong.com/java/java-https-c ... n-example/

I had to set the date and time first to avoid a security exception;

root@EV3:~/lejos/samples# jrun -jar HttpsClient.jar

Awesome news, thanks so much for confirming so fast. I cannot wait to get my hands on this kit, going to the Lego store tomorrow!

Just given it a go and works a treat, just connected to my favourite cloud platform Salesforce.com!

(takes a while to warm up, jit compile etc, but once its done a few passes, pretty fast, impressed!)
