Getting the amount of blue with the color sensor

Postby KiwiBird » Mon Jan 06, 2014 7:06 am

I noticed hat the ev3 color sensor has a mode where it gives you the amount of red. This is helpful, but i would also need it to gove me the amount of, for example, blue. Is there a way to do this? How can I detect the amount of a certain color, not only red?

You can't at the moment. If you try and use RGB mode (which allows you access to this data), the sensor will reset. This seems to be a problem with the sensor itself and not with leJOS (notice that the standard lego software does not give you access to this mode). There may be a way around this, but this needs changes to the Lego kernel module to allow it to work (and even then it is not very reliable), it is on my list to look at but the list is rather long at the moment...
