You seem to be trying to connect to localhost (your windows PC not to the EV3). What name/IP address are you using when opening the ssh connection to the EV3. If you are connecting via a USB cable then the correct address to use is 10.0.1.1.

In which case are you sure that you have an RNDIS driver installed? Can you ping the EV3 on 10.0.1.1? Have you checked that any firewall you have installed is not blocking the connection? Do you have your computer connected to any other network? What IP address is that network using?

Hi,

did you try to use Putty for windows?
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

If you have a wired connection for your EV3 brick, with the following statement you should connect without any problem.

Try to use Putty.

Code: Select all
ssh root@10.0.1.1

I have realized all steps of thsi tutorial https://github.com/mindboards/ev3dev/wi ... Networking but in "Set the IP Address" i can't see this option "local area network"
I only see ethernet2 , virtualBox Host-Only Network, VMware Network Adapter VMnet1 and VMware Network Adapter VMnet8
I supossed that could be "ethernet2" and i have put 10.0.1.1 as ip4 but don't work
Help me please =(

Please try and help yourself a little, if you had searched for RNDIS on the forum you would have found the following:
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6670

But before you rush off to follow it please check your device manager. When you plug in the EV3 to your USB please check your device manager settings to see if you have an a missing driver for the RNDIS device. If you do then please read the thread above. Please make sure you read the post I added about not setting the IP address. Do not simply follow all of the steps in the Mindboards article.

yes, this was the solutiom
"A quick note for anyone reading this. Please do not follow the steps for setting the IP address given in the above link. For leJOS you need to leave the network settings set at obtain IP address automatically. leJOS runs a DHCP server on the EV3 to provide an IP address to your Windows/Linux/Mac system. The first section about how to install the driver are fine though!"

thanks a lot :D
