Synchronisation of threads all right, gloomyandy ;) mmmh I'm not that used of thread... can you maybe give me a little bit of help or provide a good source (like howtos and tutorials or so) where I can learn about it to figure it so I can implement this? Would be awesome :)

i'm still working on the sync part... better say i try to figure out how... if somebody would post an tutorial where i can learn something like this would be great...

another thing i noticed is that i can't disconnect/close the sensors. I tried this:

Code: Select all
// close sensors
touchSensor.close();
colorSensor.close();
irSensor.close();
touchSensor = null;
colorSensor = null;
irSensor = null;

but apparently its not working because the sensors have still electricity/are connect. so i need to restart the brick manually again to try the changes in my code.
is my implementation wrong or is the close() method not working??

the connection to the ev3 can be disconnnect and the code is quite similar
Code: Select all
ev3.disConnect();
ev3 = null;

If you close all the sensors and call the ev3 disConnect method you should be able to rerun your program.

The fact that the sensors might still have power to them is not relevant.

It's possible that whatever is causing your previous problem is also causing a problem closing the sensors.
