What's in the box?

These two videos, core set and 31313, show slightly different contents of the EV3 set.

The former has a gyro sensor and a rechargable battery, which the latter doesn't. Why the discrepancy?

Btw, is the gyro the equivalent of the Hitechnic gyro, as here it looks more like a compass?

basically there are two sets with different sensors/technic elements and with different Lego/Labview software. The education version include a rechargeable battery pack (but no charger), the gyro two touch sensors, color sensor and ultrasonic sensor, the Retail kit does not have the battery pack and contains the IR sensor (and remote), one touch sensor and the color sensor. Both kits have two large motors and one medium motor. Both will run leJOS.
