Installing firmware without usb (broken) (please close)

Postby werner291 » Sat Dec 10, 2011 12:28 pm

Hello, my Lego NXT brick has a hardware-broken USB port, so I can only use Bluetooth.

However, nxjflash.bat program only checks for USB-connected NXT bricks (correct me if i'm wrong).

Is there a way to install the firmware using Bluetooth?

EDIT: My father replaced the USB port, it's working now. If a moderator sees this, please close this topic.

Unfortunately, that is impossible.

It is totally possible :!: :!:

Here read this tutorial posted by lejos
http://lejos.sourceforge.net/nxt/nxj/tu ... indows.htm

When running the flash command the pc will be looking for a connection to the nxt either via Bluetooth or USB

No. Firmware can only be installed via USB. Quote from the tutorial page:
Make sure that your NXT is connected to the PC by the USB cable and witched on.

My father replaced the USB port, it's running correctly now.
