Sensor fusion

Has anyone attempted to do sensor fusion using the Lejos firmware? I would like to combine the values of a gyro sensor and an accelerometer sensor to create a pseudo sensor with higher reliability and precision in high frequency and low frequency situations. I'm currently thinking of a Kalman filter to do that but I am unsure of it's implementation in Java.
