LeJos on Mac OS X 10.5.1 - any complete guide for a noob?

Postby schroder » Wed Dec 12, 2007 4:58 pm

I have a NXT for a college project. I've been trying to install leJos on mac osx 10.5.1 but i dont know much about the Terminal and its configurations. i saw a little guide in another thread but i was in doubt about some stuff and i was affraid to mess it up because the robot belongs to the university :p
i have some questions:

-how can we see that the NXT brick is well connected to the mac?
-how do we do the communication between the mac and the NXT brick?
-is any IDE like Netbeans or Eclipse to the develop?

can anyone to post a complete guide for installation for the Mac? i've seen for windows and linux..

tnks!

There's no guide that I know of, but this thread might shed some light on things:

The current, most complete guide is here: viewtopic.php?p=1926#1926

Feel free to ask questions about it. One thing that does not work on OS X right now is nxjflash, so to do the initial conversion to the lejos firmware on the NXT you will need access to Windows or Linux. Once the flash is done nxjc and nxj both work to compile and upload programs to the NXT.
