Postby ZeProne » Mon Mar 22, 2010 4:21 pm

Hy,

Thx to Andy, i am glad to say that a realtime implementation of leJOS (an RTSJ implémentation) is now available on sourceforge.

Do not hesitate to give us ideas and feedback.

Benoit.

Good to hear you have got things working... So are you going to be writing up what you have done, I'm sure it would make interesting reading...

We need to do some documentations about our modifications on the wiki, and write functionnalities on the project's front page.

We'll also post some howto, to explain problems like we add with memory alignment and things like this. Maybe we'll need your help for some explainations ;)

Hi I read your post.

The project:

what advantages does it have in compare with original lejos firmware?

Cheers

Hi, sorry for the late,

leJOS RT implements some of the RTSJ (Real-Time Specification for Java).
So, the advantage of leJOS RT is to be able to develop an application of lejos using RTSJ.

http://www.rtsj.org/specjavadoc/book_index.html
Go there and read the overview, It will be easier to understand what RTSJ is.

For the moment, I know that there is not a lot of documentation on the leJOS RT project. But I hope it wiil be fixed soon.
