Mindsensors High Precision Infrared dist sensor - Accuracy?

Postby personoid » Mon Aug 23, 2010 1:10 am

Does anyone have any experience of the Mindsensors High Precision Infrared distance sensor? , (DIST-Nx-Long-v2)

How accurate is it?

How does it react to different materials, and to sensing things that are at an angle to the beam?

Thanks

Personoid.

Have a look on DIST-Nx-v2-User-Guide.pdf at http://www.mindsensors.com/index.php?module=documents&JAS_DocumentManager_op=viewDocument&JAS_Document_id=21.

I think I once read of an accuracy of +-2mm but I can be wrong.

You better ask someone of mindsensors.com. They surely have experience and can answer that.
