iCommand problem

Postby mdsmitty » Fri Mar 02, 2007 2:47 am

Hi all i've been though the forum and i think i got a new issue. When i run Remotecontol from the samples i get the following.

C:\icommand-0.5\samples>java RadioControl
Looking for 'icommand.properties' in working dir: C:\icommand-0.5\samples
Looking for 'icommand.properties' in home dir: C:\Documents and Settings\Mike
NXTCOMM = COM4
Stable Library
=========================================
Native lib Version = RXTX-2.1-7
Java lib Version = RXTX-2.1-7

In the upper right corner of the screen i get a java window that says "None" in the title bar of the window.

i get no error messages.

i have also upgraded the nxt to the latest firmware.

i have paired the pc and the brick but i have not created a serial link. none of the documentation i have found says to, just to pair them. i have played around and created a serial link just to see what i get and i get the following.

C:\icommand-0.5\samples>java RadioControl
Looking for 'icommand.properties' in working dir: C:\icommand-0.5\samples
Looking for 'icommand.properties' in home dir: C:\Documents and Settings\Mike
NXTCOMM = COM7
Stable Library
=========================================
Native lib Version = RXTX-2.1-7
Java lib Version = RXTX-2.1-7

if i connect using the NXT the pc defaults to port 7 so thats what i chnaged the file to.

but if i read the directions corectly i should just have to pair the two devices. i can see the nxt in the blue tooth browser.

any idea whats going on?

is there a recomened blue tooth adaper i should be using?
