Exception in sample program BTConnectTest

Postby potschi » Thu Sep 27, 2007 9:09 am

When trying to run the sample program BTConnectTest on my NXT, there's an exception thrown which says: Java Exception Class: 8 Method: 80.

All the other Bluetooth-related sample programs also don't work, aborting with "Data abort" or an exception.
Is this caused by a misconfiguration on my computer or may this be a bug in the firmware?

My system: ubuntu, kernel 2.6.20-16
lejos NXJ 0.4

Sending compiled programs via Bluetooth is possible without problems. Only trying to access Bluetooth via program code ends in errors.

Ok, I gonna answer some of my questions myself:

- "Data abort" occurs when calling getMessage() of Exception-Class. Without this call, the VM doesn't hang up.
- connecting to a device which is not yet a known device, can be done by Bluetooth.connect( byte[] addr ), where addr must be an array containing 12 values. Bluetooth-adresses contain 6 hex-values. These 6 must be split into 12.
