Postby volk3000rus » Wed Feb 12, 2014 6:02 pm

Hai.

I have two EV3 bricks, but Wi-fi dongle is on the way.
I spend around two weaks to build my first programm but it absolutely don`t want to work.

I have Win7 64bit.
When I connecting EV3 to PC it is not recognized as any device is connected.
I have this problem:

Buildfile: C:\Users\Alex\git\ev3\DBusJava\build.xml
clean:
[delete] Deleting directory C:\Users\Alex\git\ev3\DBusJava\build
compile:
[mkdir] Created dir: C:\Users\Alex\git\ev3\DBusJava\build

[scp] Connecting to 10.0.1.1:22

BUILD FAILED
C:\Users\Alex\git\ev3\DBusJava\build.xml:34: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Total time: 25 seconds

How can I solve it?
Please help me to be part of your team.

I tryied all build.xml files on the Internet, every one has same error.
My last file was:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<project name="dbusjava" basedir="." default="copy">
<property file="local.properties" />
<property name="source.dir" value="src"/>

If you are connecting your EV3 via USB then you should see a new network interface be created for the EV3. When you plug in the EV3 what happens? Do you have any unrecognized devices in the Windows 7 device manager? You may need to manually install the USB device driver, search the forum for RNDIS to find threads on how to do this. Also please when asking for help make sure you tell us which version of leJOS you are using.

Can`t solve this problem yet.
1) I am connecting EV3 via USB.
2) 0.5.0 - alpha
3) I should install: select Remote NDIS compatible device?
But I got another one.

Now when I am connecting EV3 I have some Network. But problem is the same.
Should I set IPv4 Manually? Adress and another Info?
Can`t find any information about paring EV3 with PC by USB cable.

If you have the driver installed then the network device should get created when you plug in your EV3, your PC should obtain an IP address from the EV3 automatically. This may take a little time, but eventually the new interface should be assigned an address. Once this is complete you should be able to ping 10.0.1.1 (the EV3). Can't really help much beyond this, you need to sort out your PC so the above works, many others have this working fine so if it is not working for you there must be something different about your setup. Does the network interface appear when you attach your EV3? Can you ping the 10.0.1.1 address?

I have major success.
I can download files from PC to EV3 by USB cable.
Build.xml -> Run as -> ant
Then my file is in EV3 and I can Run it.
But for example run: FirstEV3Program takes about 2 minutes.
If I want to run bigger project like SensorMonitor I am clicking on it in EV3 my display show`s nothing for 10 minutes (three times)

is it so slow? or I made some mistakes building lejos in EV3?

Are you using 0.5.0 or 0.6.0? If you are still using 0.5.0, it had problems with USB networking.
