EV3 and leJOS for HS Computer Science

Postby MrBCompSci » Sat Mar 15, 2014 4:43 pm

Hello all!

First, thank you to the dedicated members of the leJOS team for developing this great tool!

I'm a HS Computer Science teacher and my school just got me a few EV3 core + expansion sets, along with some Nexus 7 tablets. I'll be exploring and prototyping this spring & summer and will integrate leJOS into my curriculum in the fall. All of my current curriculum is on my website: www.mrbcompsci.com. I will call the site a "rough draft," as this is my first year teaching CS to aspiring young engineers and the content is subject to rapid and significant change!

If you're involved or interested in tech, engineering, design, etc. in secondary education, please reply!

-Mr. B

PS: My first planned leJOS project is an Android-controlled fire-breathing dragon that will light the candle on my son's 1st birthday cake in August. :)

Take a look this repository:

Maybe, you could get new ideas for your course.

The source for several different Android apps that control the EV3, is now on the leJOS Blog - http://lejosnews.wordpress.com/.

You may give your son a lifelong fear of dragons, by having one light his birthday cake when he is only one year old.
