Hi Laurie
Thanks for replying.
I'm running vista and and I've tried installing libusb and tried without and I get the same error message. I installed libusb in windows is this right. If I go to device manager the system only sees the NXT when libusb is not installed when it is installed lots of things show the ! sign.

I think the problem is that the libusb-win32 filter driver does not work on Vista.

See http://www.nabble.com/libusb-win32-rele ... 96083.html

leJOS NXJ relies on libusb, so until there is a fix for this, will not work on Vista.

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib ... ndows/1241 suggests that the problem might only be with 64-bit Vista.

Make sure that you have pushed the little silver button to put it into the firmware update mode before trying to lejosdl. The button is inside of the hole that is right below the usb port on the back side of the NXT.
