How did you figure the low level bluetooth BC4 commands

Postby RoboPAL » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:05 pm

So the low level Bluetooth class talks with the BC4 chip using a handful of native commands. The BC4 is running a SPP profile?

Where can I find some documentation on that interface ( in addition to the Bluetooth 'code' ) -- ie on what information needs to be sent and received to the BC4 chip to establish a link etc.

Is the BC4 chip on the NXT an off the shelf part (with SPP included) or is something custom Lego have create using some sort of toolkit.

Cheers,
JC

Hi,
All of the documentation is available on the Lego Mindstorms site. The BC4 is running a set of custom firmware that seems to be Lego specific and only makes available a limited spp profile...
